About Sheri Latash
Varied work experience
Sheri spent nearly 20 years in the waste management and environmental consulting fields, working for industry and municipalities. As a result of wide-ranging volunteer involvement at her daughter's school, she decided to switch careers. Sheri returned to school for a teaching degree and then taught mostly science and math at the elementary and middle school levels.
In semi-retirement, she worked for the Cook County Farm Bureau as an agriculture literacy educator and volunteered on their Commodities & Marketing, Public Relations, and Member Relations Teams. She has also worked in real estate and public relations. Sheri fully retired from teaching in 2015, and from the Commodities & Marketing Team in 2019.

At the national level, Sheri was instrumental in getting the LWV of the United States to update its 1988 public policy position on agriculture by conducting a national study, and she served on the national study committee.
